Mayor Stewart Urges Support For Operation Elf To Assist Connecticut Military Families

"I urge everyone to lend their support to Operation Elf which is a program started by Connecticut Governor Rell to provide help for the families of Connecticut military men and women fighting in Iraq.

"We are asking for contributions of unwrapped toys, grocery gift cards to buy holiday dinners, phone cards, Christmas trees, and especially your financial contributions that can help make the holiday season a little brighter for these families.

"You can also make contributions of home heating fuel, or offer services such as snow removal which can help greatly at this time."
